We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Sunday Morning, July 3......Darin leads the Praise and Worship time every Sunday at Hillside Fellowship in Bulverde, Texas.
Darin enlists others to help....Pastor Dave McCall sings the melody while Darin and Sparky harmonize. Tim plays along on the drums.
It was really fun to not only see where Jody and Darin were living, but also to walk thru their day with them.....we thought you might like to see a glimpse of it as well.
Day starts early...usually around 5:00 am...before it gets hot. The horses are watered and fed before they get started on training them.During the summer Jody and Darin work until around noon, then take some time off in the afternoon because of the heat(it was close to 100 every day that we were there) and then start working the horses again late afternoon until late evening.
Jody helps take the horses out of their stalls in the morning and put them back in at the end of the day.
Once the horses are out of the stalls, there is more work that needs to be done.
A wheelbarrow full....guess what this is?
Yup....this is exactly what it looks like! Jody's job usually includes cleaning out the stalls each morning
Darin trains the horses......everything from two year olds to older horses. Right now there are a lot of two year olds....as Jody says, it's sort of like a Daycare with really big kids!
Horses are tethered under the trees....each to their own tree.....keeping cool in the shade!
So happy together!(Darin is checking a calus!)
Jody and Darin work together to feed and water the horses after a full day.
Jody does a little bit of cosmetic work with the horses....Side Part looks much better this way .......
Much better...don't you agree?!
Jody has someone watching over her shoulder making sure she does it just right!
Once fed and watered, the horses get their hay....chores go faster when done together.
The day ends with a trip out to the cows to feed them...Jody and Jake get to ride on the back with the bags of cow feed.

Thursday, June 30...the Big Day....we finally made it to Boerne, Texas, and got to see the Newlyweds!!
The Ranch House is where we stayed.....with Mr Wayne and Miss Debbie.....
Home Sweet Home...and yes, they really do live in a barn! The barn is at the back, and they live in the front.
A view from the front...the window to the right is their Dining Room and the windows on the left of the screen are the Living Room windows.
If you came thru their front door(which most people don't since the door knob doesn't work), to your left you would see these double doors opening into their living room and you would be standing in their dining room.
Yup, their bedroom really is big enough for a couch and coffee table! and the red blanket on the wall? Well it covers up the window that looks into the barn!!!
Here is a look at their living room, complete with a desk for studying in the back corner, and bookshelves that are already full and all their books aren't even in them yet!
Just inside their living room, their Engagement Box sits on a bench left by their landlords(the skull and horns were there before too!)
Darin practising for leading worship on Sunday...he has a little music nook of his own with a great view of the ranch out the window.
