We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Introducing Tikka(pronounced Tee-Kah) , the newest member of the family, a 5 month old Yellow Lab that lives at Matt and Heather's house. It took me an entire week of waiting for her to sit still long enough to get a picture of her looking at me! She is adorable, and energetic----a puppy toddler, so just imagine a 2 year old and you will know a bit about her personality at the moment! Posted by Picasa

Saturday, September 10...all moved into their house and next comes the dog! We waited with Heather for Matt to get back with Tikka. There was so much excitement when he drove in! Barely home and Tikka is learning to listen to commands....Heather just watches as Matt demonstrates how he is already training her to be obedient. Posted by Picasa

Matt had treats in his pocket when he went to pick her up .... it didn't take her long to figure that out! Posted by Picasa

Matt and Tikka enjoy getting to know one another. Tikka adopted Matt immediately and wanted to spend time with him. Posted by Picasa

Heather gets her chance to bond with Tikka....my that dog loves belly rubs! So much for worrying that she might be an anti-social dog...she is quite the opposite and loves attention! Posted by Picasa

Day 2 as a member of the family and Tikka comes to our house for a visit! She didn't sit down long enough for a picture so Heather picked her up! She is definitely a handful!Posted by Picasa

Entertaining everyone is a very tiring life! What a big yawn! Posted by Picasa

Where are we you ask? Well this is at Heather and Matt's....at the fish ponds! We just had to bring our houseguests to see their new place....Dave's aunt and uncle, and Mom had just arrived.... Posted by Picasa

Dinner time with everyone....Denny and Mary Prothero from Minneapolis along with Heather and Matt.....too bad Darin and Jody couldn't drop in for dinner too! But Texas is a bit far to come!  Posted by Picasa

Jamie and Megan get into the picture with Grandma! They tried to convince her that she should come spend the winter with us in Abbotsford! Posted by Picasa

Sisters.....it was such a treat to have the Prothero's and Grandma at our house! We were just delighted that they had made the trip up from Seattle after arriving back there from their Alaskan Cruise. Posted by Picasa

After Sunday Dinner, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take Denny and Mary and Grandma for a drive into Vancouver to see Stanley Park...this was our first stop for pictures! What a view! Posted by Picasa

Prospect Point looks over the ocean on one side and across to the North Shore Mountains on the other. And the flowers were amazing! Had to take a picture.... Posted by Picasa

Denny, Mom, and Mary inside the Hollow Tree! This picture gives a glimpse of big this tree really is! Posted by Picasa

Our next destination was White Rock, looking out over the ocean. We had hoped to have dinner at Moby Dick's and found out it was closed! So our next choice, was Charlie Don't Surf! Weird name but good food! Posted by Picasa

Dave's Mom and Mary couldn't get over the flowers! They were everywhere and so beautiful! Posted by Picasa

Our table was just inside the patio, so we could enjoy the view without being chilled...fish and chips for everyone! Posted by Picasa

What a perfect way to end our day...dinner looking out over the ocean! Posted by Picasa

I promised updated pictures after Heather and Matt were all moved in, and here they are! Starting with the new look kitchen! Hard to believe that this is the same kitchen as before...cupboards all the same color and no more aqua marble countertop on one side with white with silver specks on the other! Posted by Picasa

A little shelf from Ikea doubles as a phone desk and extra shelf space for pots and pans and salad bowls.  Posted by Picasa

That big empty front room sure looks different now...the bookshelf found a home in the corner, right behind their Dining Room Table.... Posted by Picasa

Come right in....a step through the Front Door and you won't believe the difference....they are ready for guests! Have a seat! Posted by Picasa

Matt's chest didn't quite fit into the Master Bedroom, but it works here...complete with a picture shelf that was there before...this extra bedroom is great!and it looks like it was made for this spot! Matches the logs! Posted by Picasa

The Loveseat found a home in the second bedroom too....along with 'Drapes by Mom'...actually Ikea drapery panels that were cut in half to make curtains for two bedrooms! Posted by Picasa
