But first, a picnic lunch just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina! I figured out how to use the timer on my digital camera to take this picture of the two of us! It's a good thing we enjoy driving...we put over 1500 miles on our rental car this trip! 

From Florence we drove to Atlanta, Georgia where we visited friends Bob and Carolyn Stark, standing here with Dave in front of Stone Mountain! We had an awesome visit before heading back to Raleigh for our flight home on Wednesday, June 15. Too soon it was back to Abbotsford again! 

After our two days in Charleston, we picked up the newlyweds at the airport in Raleigh, North Carolina and then drove to Florence, South Carolina where Darin's parents hosted a post wedding reception! We had a great time together and it was fun to celebrate all over again before Jody and Darin loaded up their car and headed back to Texas(yup they drove back!) 

Dave enjoyed looking out over the Atlantic Ocean! Seemed like a very long way from BC! The weather cooperated and we had an awesome time here in Charleston....our anniversary get-a-way a wee bit belated! 

How about this house for just one family? Wouldn't want to clean this one! 

The Battery in Charleston was full of history and beautiful old homes! We were in awe of the history in this city! 

Looking a bit more refreshed we are enjoying an Anniversary Dinner at Magnolia's Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina! We would hardly believe that we were here deep in the south!  

May 31, 2005 we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary! We are looking a bit weary after Jody and Darin's wedding but sure did enjoy the beautiful flowers from the  

Jamie and Megan and Max in their condo....they tell me that Max is my grandkid, at least for now!  

All three Mrs. Becks in one room with the two remaining Mr Becks. We have enjoyed having Dave's mother, Marillyn Beck from Norcross, Minnesota with us for the past two weeks and will say goodbye tomorrow when she takes the train back to Minnesota. 

Max, Jamie and Megan's cat who is selectively social, but very handsome!(I think he is cute but Megan insists that he would rather be called handsome!) 

Sunday, June 5 and we are still enjoying wedding visitors. We have had a great weekend with good friends, Ralph and Justina Johnson from our Winnipeg days.
