A Beautiful Bride and a Handsome Groom...I knew that Jody would want to see this picture of her friend Chelsea on her wedding day. What better way to do that but to post it here on the Beck Bulletin....it was an awesome wedding on Saturday! Posted by Picasa

Three of the bridesmaids....you will recognize them Jody...Leslie, Ashley and Kim....looking gorgeous every one! Posted by Picasa

Sunday, October 30, and Jamie and Megan are ready to move...everything is packed up and the friends and family are here to help. Out of the condo, down the hall...and wait! We need to wait for the elevator....I was the door man..and the elevator lady...went up and down with the loads so the next crew could either unload or load it up again! Posted by Picasa

Everything was moved in stages...from the elevator it was into the lobby and then onto the truck. Everyone had a place to work and a job to do! Posted by Picasa

Well that's a wrap! The truck is packed full, and everything fit but the Barbecue! Fortunately friends had a pickup truck available and went and picked it up for the Barbecue so everything was moved in one load(with a few full vehicles as well). Fortunately the rain didn't cause too many complications! Posted by Picasa

11:30 and the Condo is totally packed up and ready to go! Since they couldn't get into their new place until noon, they ordered pizza and fed all their volunteer labor! Nice Condo, but this is our last visit! Posted by Picasa

Just after noon and we are at the new house! Come on in Megan welcomes us! And what an awesome house it is! Posted by Picasa

For the first time in their married life, Jamie and Megan have all of their Bedroom Suite pieces in the bedroom and in the right place...complete with their Armoire featured in the corner! Posted by Picasa

Max was not impressed with his new home! He looked totally disgusted as he hid under their TV stand and decided not to come out for a very long time! Posted by Picasa

Megan loves her new kitchen and Heather and I are both jealous! Love that hardwood floor! By last night she had it all unpacked!  Posted by Picasa

Yup! Your eyes are not deceiving you! They actually have Spider-Man painted on the wall of one of the smaller bedrooms, complete with a spiderman window seat! Posted by Picasa

3:00 in the afternoon and everyone has left except the two Mr. and Mrs. Becks! Jamie and Megan lounging in their favorite chair in their new Living Room! How amazing is that! Posted by Picasa

It's a rainy Friday evening and I am finally taking back some time to sit here and play on my blog! Let me take you on a tour of one of my favorite places, Fishtrap Creek Park. It is just down the street from us so we can walk there any time we want! Dave and I love to walk here, on a Sunday afternoon or a summer evening. Posted by Picasa

This is where my best friend and I have walked together for the past 18 years! Anneliese and I started walking with another mom who prayed with us in our Mothers Who Care Group. We would meet after dropping our children off at school! And Anneliese and I still walk together around this park 3 mornings/week. This is our 19th year! Hard to believe!

I often marvel at how blessed I am to have such an awesome friend. We have laughed together, cried together, watched our children grow up, become teenagers, go to High School, graduate , go off to first Bible College and then some to University. We have grieved together as we lost fathers, planned together as we married off children(5 down, one to go! Her son Ben is marrying one of Jody's good friends from High School, Kari Pauls in July).

We share our joys and our sorrows, and right now I am almost as excited as she is that they are flying to Indonesia this coming week to visit their kids, Chris and Julene and their grandkids, Teyha and Paeton, on their MAF base there. Have an awesome trip Herb and Anneliese!Posted by Picasa

When we first moved to Abbotsford, this was part of a cattle ranch right behind our house! The kids loved to walk down to the creek when they were little. We were so excited when they decided that even tho they were clearing the land and building houses, they were going to plan a park right in the middle of it all. The landscape sure has changed in the last 25 years! Hard to believe that we have lived here that long! Nearly half my life!Posted by Picasa

There are two sides to the park....you can walk in a big circle around the creek that runs thru the middle. It was planned as a bird sanctuary, so you can see lots of them all the time! Posted by Picasa

I took these pictures a week ago...on Friday, October 21....I was a model for the morning! Yup...you read right...our Church Women's Ministry was taking pictures of women in the church to blow up for the Women's Ministry Center Walls. Although I had no idea why they picked me, I said 'yes' to having someone take pictures of me in one of my favorite places...the park where we have walked for all these years! It was a beautiful autumn day so I tucked my little digital camera in my purse so I could capture some of the beauty that we enjoy on every walk! Posted by Picasa

The empty park bench reminded me of Jody and Darin! I miss them....in our lives, at the Sunday Dinner Table, at church. Funny how little things remind me of them! Posted by Picasa

Because of my knee surgery, I haven't been able to walk both sides of the park this fall...so for the last month we have walked this side...follow the path, a beautiful quiet place! Posted by Picasa

Maple leaves are the Canadian leaf...on the flag, on anything Canadian! I love these red maple leaves...makes me realize how amazing God is! He could have created a grey world, but no, He gave us color! How awesome is that! Our God truly is an awesome God! Posted by Picasa

Well this picture is a bit fuzzy, but it was taken on a phone and sent on a phone! Yup.....Jody and Darin were having fun playing with his Cell phone and took this picture of her and Jake their dog, on the phone and then sent it to us to see if it would work! It did...and made me miss them even more! It looks so warm there, not at all like the cold rainy day we had here today! There you go Jods! You said that if it turned out I could put it on my blog and here it is! Posted by Picasa

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! A morning view of the Sumas Prairie! I took this picture on our way to our International Day of Prayer this past week...in fall we get lots of fog and this was kind of neat looking at how it was blanketing the base of the mountains! Today I am thanking God for His amazing faithfulness! For family and friends! For His goodness in our lives! For life itsefl! And for you who are reading this blog! God Bless You! Bunches! Posted by Picasa

What is this you ask? Well it's the For Sale sign that went up on the young Beck's building! And it was for them! Didn't take more than a few days to sell their condo so they got serious about house hunting! And they were successful! Posted by Picasa

This will Jamie and Megan's new house after October 30th! Yup, they are entering the homeowner season of their lives along with Landlord all at the same time! They have a two bedroom suite in this house that they will be renting out to help pay for their mortgage! Quite the move up from their two bedroom condo Posted by Picasa

Well here are the Isaaks! Complete with Tikka...but there is a little body missing on this picture....a furry body that is! Posted by Picasa
