Monday was the first day of spring and I just had to take pictures to share with all of you(especially those of you on the snowy prairies!) It was a glorious day....with bright sunshine that made me long for the lazy days of summer!  Posted by Picasa

The big King Alfred Daffodils love the sun! It's unbelievable to think that some of these flowers have been blooming since January! I love it! They look like friendly greeters when I drive into the driveway. Posted by Picasa

at the front of the yard, under the magnolia tree I have planted these little mini daffodils! They are so fun....and in full bloom! Posted by Picasa

I know...it feels like these daffodils are laying on their side...pretend you are laying on your stomach in the warm grass looking at them....I wish it was warm enough to do that! Posted by Picasa

'You Gotta Be in Pictures'

I don't know why I called this post by that title...but it is the song that keeps going thru my head and I thought I would share a wee bit of what happened in our lives this week. Have you ever wondered how the sites are chosen for movies? How do they find that perfect house, or location?

Well this week we got a lesson in how it works. Last Saturday while Heather and I were off buying paint for our home makeover of our guest room, a man drove up and approached Dave who was outside working on the yard. He had driven past our house and was looking for a house with a vaulted ceiling for an upcoming movie that is being filmed here in the Lower Mainland.(Did you know that Vancouver is called Hollywood North because of all the movies that are filmed around here?) He had found our house earlier in the week and came back now to see if we were home and if he could come in and take pictures of the Living Room.

You see, he was scouting out locations for a new movie, Just a Girl, and the script called for a bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. He was taking pictures of several houses in the area to show the director of the film so she could decide which one would work best.

Anyway, then on Monday, I received a call from a man who identified himself as working with the Directors Guild of Canada(and yes, I did check references) asking if he could bring the director over on Tuesday to check our house out(it had made the short list). In the end, they didn't come(after several phone calls telling me that they were running into problems and would come later, the last one was, we have run into a pickle and looks like we may be changing what we are looking for). But it was fun while it lasted...to think that our house might have made it into a movie!

You just never know what might happen in your day! Hope you are having a good Saturday today!(I am waiting for Dave to make it back from Orlando...he got stuck in Phoenix last night when he missed his flight because of the first flight being late! Arghh......)

Kitties for Kaylin...Kaylin, I promised your Mom when she was with us last week that I would post some pictures of Heather and Matt's cat, Milo, from when she stayed with us while they were on vacation in the Dominican Republic....here she is sound asleep! I could not get her to wake up and look at me! Posted by Picasa

Taking a long nap while Dave watches TV...this was one of her favorite spots for sleeping while she stayed at our house. Posted by Picasa

"Chasing a sunbeam and look where I landed! She says she works here at her computer...but I don't know...might be a good place to take a nap! Let's see...what does the planner say we are supposed to be doing today? Looks like a very busy day.....guess a nap is in order!"Posted by Picasa

In that case, what are we doing tomorrow.....let me take a look at the calendar.... Posted by Picasa

Milo loves the outdoors and pouncing on things, but she also loves to cuddle and enjoys sleeping on soft things. ... she discovered the with just the right sense of balance, she could make herself quite comfortable!!Posted by Picasa

Thou didst form my inward parts....

"Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works!"

The words of Psalm 139:13, 14 have resounded in my mind over this last week since Megan first told me that she had heard the baby's heartbeat during her regular appointment with the midwife. She recorded it on her cell phone, so on Sunday, Dave and I gathererd around her and listened to our Grandchild's heartbeat! How amazing is that?

Before life began, God was already fashioning this little body, ordaining each of the days of it's life. As I took these pictures of Megan, I just kept thinking....that little heart is beating, there is life! And I am falling in love with a little person that I have yet to meet. Thank you Lord for the miracle of life! and thank you for Baby Beck!Posted by Picasa

Hello Baby Beck! Before we know it, Jamie will be holding this baby in his arms, and not just on Megan's tummy! ;-) Posted by Picasa
