These pictures are dedicate to Ben and Karin who were married this past Saturday. Jods we missed you but I knew you would enjoy having a peak! Her childhood friend,Benji as we called him in those days, married her high school friend! It almost felt like one of our kids getting married! So much fun!

Here comes the bride, Kari, on the arm of her father Frank! There is nothing quite like fathers and daughters! 

The new Mr. and Mrs. Ben Friesen! What a great couple they make!  

My walking partner and best friend, Anneliese and her husband Herb, parents of the groom! Anneliese and I have shared much over the years of walking together and this is the last of our children's weddings.....now we can totally focus on those wonderful grandbabies that are coming!

Family Fun! Both Heather and Jody spent a lot of time with the Pauls family in their High School years, so it was fun to catch the three of them enjoying themselves at the ceremony at beautiful Minter Gardens east of Abbotsford. 

Pretty in Pink! The bridesmaids were beautiful and Bea was willing to pose for me so I could post this picture for Jody to see the dresses! Thanks Bea! You were gorgeous! 

Some of you may have been wondering why I wasn't answering emails or posting on my blog! Well Dave and I (and Sheba) were on vacation! We just got back late last night from a wonderful week camping in Scotch Creek on Shuswap Lake in the interior of BC. Here we are at our first Rest Stop on the way up...we were on our way for an entire week offline!

We spent the week at Caravans West, an RV Resort, thanks to Tom and Joanne who mostly use it only on weekends. We had lots of time with just the two of us, and Sheba! And the weather was awesome.....time to relax, read, enjoy the sun, go for walks, swim in the lake and the pool, and play games(oh and do Sudoku!! We are both hooked!)

Our home for the week..... complete with a screened 'tent' for eating and playing games.

Tom and Joanne enjoying their Saturday night ice cream cones! Thank you so much you two for letting us stay in your place while you went back and worked all week! We sure did appreciate it lots...and lots....and lots...well you get the idea! 

Sheba was so excited to be along! But when I wasn't looking she climbed up onto our bed for a better view of the neighborhood!(under the curtains) 

Getting the boat ready to take off.....meet Gord and Shirley who adopted us and offered to take us along for their 'boat ride'....we had no idea what an amazing adventure this would turn out to be! Thank you Gord and Shirley! 

And we are off! We had to pinch ourselves! We were really spending the day on the boat! 

Dave was soooo excited! He had wanted to see the lake from a boat, but since we didn't have a boat, nor did he have a boating license, that was out of the question! But God blessed us abundantly above and beyond what he could have asked for! A boat trip with a fun couple for literally hours all the way up to the northern most tip of the lake. 

OK! I just couldn't resist! This is the ultimate vacation photo-op if you ask me! My toes in the frame of this picture as I sat on the front of the boat and relaxed!!! 

We saw this waterfall on the shore from the boat...the size of the people at the bottom gives you an idea of how high it was! 

About an hour into our boat ride we came around the corner and there were the snow-capped mountains in the distance! I couldn't believe it...a perfect photo-moment! 

This was our destination at the end of the boat ride! Silver Beach Provincial Park(campers get here by barge) on the northern most point of Seymour Arm on Shuswap Lake! It was the most amazing sand beach and the lake water was sooooo warm!! A great place to cool off on a very hot day! 

I am a fan of sunsets, and on the way home on Friday evening we saw a magnificent one! After trying to take pictures out of the window of the moving car, Dave stopped on the side of the road so that I could capture it to share with you! 

Our last view of the sunset before coming over the mountains into the Fraser Valley! The colors were amazing!! How awesome of God to give us this changing sky to enjoy for literally miles and miles...a great end to a wonderful vacation! 

Mother's and Daughters

I know, I know! It's been far too long since I have posted...and I have taken soooo many pictures with good intentions! My Dad took this one of my Mom and my sister, Ev, and I on Mom's birthday(which was the day after mine) Ev and I decided to take Mom out to lunch on her birthday and we had so much fun! It was the first time ever!(way overdue if you ask me!) Anyway, I wanted to post this in honor of Mothers and Daughters! Here's to you Mom!

Ok...so this really isn't about Mothers and Daughters(except of course this beautiful young lady is my sister's daughter)....but I just had to post this picture of my niece Ashley looking beautiful in honor of her 18th birthday today! Happy Birthday Ashley!

Jods, this picture is for you! When Amber was here for the wedding she stayed in your room so she just had to take some pictures in your room, on your bed with your dog!! She was going to send you the rest...hope you have seen them by now! For those of you who have no idea who Amber is, she was Jody's roomate during her first year at His Hill in Texas and this was her first visit to BC. Seemed so strange to have her staying her with us and Jody was in Texas! Too bad you couldn't have been her to enjoy all the fun Jods!

In honor of what I was originally going to call this post...this mother with two of her three daughters! Jods you are so missed! Thanks Nancy for taking this picture of the three of us at the Softball Game during a break in the action! I am usually the one taking the pictures so it is good to have one with Heather, Megan and me!
