Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
Although the official day isn't actually until tomorrow, this morning in church we were asked to share in just five words or less what we were thankful for. The first thought that popped into my mind was....I am thankful for my grandchildren, Aidan, Caily and Bean!(sorry, that is actually 6 words) 'Bean' you ask?! Yup, Bean.....for those of you that don't go from our blog to those of our kids, you have definitely missed something! Heather and Matt are expecting a new addition to their family in April and have affectionately nicknamed the baby, Bean! You will want to check their very unique way of breaking the news to us on their blog along with Heather's second post giving details. We are delighted...excited and yes, very thankful!

Saying Goodbye is hard to do....
I am sitting in the Denver Airport waiting for my flight to Vancouver and reflecting on what an awesome week it was.....spending every single hour of every single day for an entire week in the same house with my sweet Caily girl was amazing and watching my own baby girl parent her baby girl was a blessing. (You are an awesome Mom Jods!) This picture will stick in my memory for a very long time.
Thanks Jody and Darin for letting me spend the week with you.....it was truly a blessing indeed!
Traffic was at a standstill for a while on our way to the Airport so there wasn't time for long goodbyes. That too was a blessing since I quickly jumped out of the truck, gave Darin a hug and then Jody helped me get to Check In counter and then it was straight thru Security. This is how I left Caily...also a blessing. Saying goodbye to those beautiful blue eyes would have been much too hard to do...
Oh dear....the tears just spilled out and ran down my nose.....
Jody and I managed to finish painting Caily's room which turned out great! It is all cleaned out, boxes are unpacked and clothes put away in the closet.....next comes furniture and then it will be time for Caily to move in. What a beautiful sunny corner room! Even if the sheep do wake you up in the morning while they are grazing outside of the four open windows!(I thought I was dreaming, but no! There they were....what a cute sight!)
And the best thing about saying goodbye? In just a little over two months Jody and Caily will arrive for a two week visit in time for Christmas! I will turn around twice and it will be here....Yippee!
My Texas Sweetheart
I promised some more pictures this morning so here are a few of the memories I will cherish of my Texas Sweetheart..... Caily sleeps thru the night and sometimes can go as long as 12 hours between her last feeding and her morning feeding. She wakes up happy and oh so smiley....watching her wake up made me smile every single morning!
One of the things that Jody and I have worked on this week is painting Caily's room.....she would sometimes sleep while we painted...
I love being a Grandma in case you haven't noticed...so I thought I had better document that I was actually here with my granddaughter.
Caily freely shares her smiles....gotta love her!
Jody took this picture and it really does remind me of the many face to face talks we have had this week....
Thank you Lord for these great memories!

Still alive and kicking....Texas style that is!
I know that many of you have been checking this blog for pictures of my time away but I have actually surprised myself by staying off the computer for the most part during my vacation here in Texas with Caily and her parents! I can hardly believe that my time here is over and I will be heading north tomorrow! We have had so much fun together! When Jody and Caily picked me up at the airport last Saturday, we headed straight to my first horse show! Their new horse actually placed 2nd in her category so that was exciting. I took this picture to remember the occasion!

Sunday we headed to church so we are all dressed up but Caily was more interested in looking for her Daddy(she could hear him talking) then looking at the camera!

Caily loves to smile and her whole face lights up! Including those cute cheeks......I told Jody that I can tell she is smiling even from the back because her cheeks smile!

I love being by water of any kind so yesterday us ladies headed down to the river for some girl time! What awesome memories! I took these pictures so you could all see her standing up....she loves it! Look at how she curls her toes to keep her balance.....Too Cute!
That's all for tonight but I promise to post some more tomorrow....it really is way past my bedtime!
