He delights over me with singing....

I have been thinking about this amazing truth ever since I read my TruthMedia Daily Devotional this morning. Regardless of what I do or don't do, how I act or don't act, what I think of don't think, God's word is true and doesn't change. And today this was just an awesome reminder of how God views me!

Zephaniah 3:17

"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love,

he will rejoice over you with singing."

Father God,

Thank you that You are the One who watches over me and sees every step I take. You walk each of those steps beside me! Thank you that You are the God who speaks to me and who hears me when I call.

Thank you that You listen to my heart and You see into the depth of my soul. Nothing of me is hidden from You. And You still answer even before I call out to You. Even when I am still speaking and wondering how to bring my needs before You, You are already springing into action to meet me at my point of need. You are awesome, Lord, hearing my heart and reaching out to meet me.

You take delight in me! You take great delight in me. Wow! You will never, ever leave me and You actually desire to have fellowship with me. You, the God of Heaven, look for time with me and cherish the moments when I look into Your face. You guide me with Your eye.
.............
To read the rest of the Devotional you can click on the link above and even comment there and interact with other women from around the world! But if you don't have time for that, just think about how amazing it is...Today He delights over me with singing!!

A work in progress....

Yes, in spite of a new grandson in the family, we are still working on our house(and yes, this is a new post....actually three new posts in one evening!!!)....it is definitely a work in progress but we are getting there....this is what the front of the house looked like when Heather and I were finished painting on Saturday! No more green trim..... The day our kitchen was taken out we came home from work and wondered what in the world we had done....what were we thinking?!!!
Well.....it's going to be well worth it....the cabinets are in, the counter is in, the backsplash is in.....now we just need some new lights and the floor....
This is what the family room looks like tonight....tomorrow the hardwood is going down.....we can hardly wait!
Here's a peek at the Powder Room......just the light fixture left to hang in there! I love the mirror that I found.....just perfect.

Do they look alike?

I think we all have to agree that definitely yes! Aidan and Jaxon do look alike....the top picture is the one I took of Jaxon today and the bottom is the picture I took of Aidan on his first visit to Grandma's house! Same genes for sure!

Cherished Moments

On Sunday we took lunch over to Jamie and Megan's and enjoyed just holding Jaxon...another grandbaby to love!
Counting 10 little fingers....so perfect!
Grandma and Jaxon....I have always loved babies, so holding a new grandson is definitely a 'cherished moment'.
Today I got a special visit by the four Becks.....just had to record the moment...Jaxon's first visit to Grandma's house!

Introducing Jaxon Kade Beck

He's here! Jaxon Kade Beck made his appearance this morning at 6:37 am and weighed in at 8 lbs 3 oz, almost half a pound less than his big brother. Aidan just giggled when he woke up this morning and I was at their house and told him that his baby brother was born. He clearly said 'baby' which is amazing since most of his words aren't necessarily easy to understand.

Aidan was not at all sure about this baby that Daddy was holding.

Jamie even got down on the floor at Aidan's level to see if that was better...but instead Aidan was more interested in practising his bum drops on Megan's bed!

And baby makes 4!

Megan looked great and was thankful for a speedy delivery(I will let her fill you in on their blog) Meanwhile, I took Aidan home where Heather met us just as our new stove was being delivered. Aidan was so excited to see his Auntie Heather at Grandma's house!

Yup, this is what Heather was here for....it was a beautiful day today, perfect for painting trim on our house....what would I do without my fearless painting partner(she does amazing with her 6 foot arm-span!! It's true....6 feet! Covers a lot of trim in one ladder position)

Tonight after Jamie picked Aidan up to take him home, Dave and I headed back to the Hospital so he could meet his new grandson. Proud Grandpa!

It was fun to just enjoy the moment and celebrate Jaxon's safe arrival.

Making Progress

I know that several of you have been checking our blog for progress reports so I thought I would post a couple of pictures that I took today.
As you can see, the siding is well on it's way to being finished, and the new windows are all in. Today we even got the new mailbox and house numbers on(so the mailman will be happy and if we ever need to dial 911 they will be able to find us now that the numbers are where the light will shine on them!)
Heather and I will still need to paint the trim, but that is going to have to wait for another week because we are still busy working inside. I finished painting the cabinets in the bathroom this weekend and Dave and I even managed to hang the doors! Wow.......new hardware and all. For those of you that have been in our house I know it will be hard to believe what the 'red' bathroom looks like now! All that work sanding the walls was well worth it.
Now we just need our new light fixtures to arrive and a new mirror (along with the baseboards that need to go back on, and another room is almost finished(my part at least!)

This week my old kitchen comes out on Thursday so I am busy packing up everything in the cabinets! What a job! But once we paint the walls on the weekend, the new kitchen can come in next Monday! Hard to believe it's coming so fast......back to the kitchen for me!
