A Northern Thanksgiving

We enjoyed celebrating our Canadian Thanksgiving with our northern kids and our little brown eyed munchkin.
The weather cooperated for some time outside - taking pictures.....

....going for a walk along the river
....and just enjoying the beauty of the changing colors of fall.

We also enjoyed time spoiling our little sweetheart....he loved our Blizzards.
 Can you tell?
"Look what I am getting Mama.....this is delicious!"
Trying out more new food...this time the healthy version! An entire apple all to himself!
Life is just faannntaaassstic! Especially when someone has a camera in their hands!
Having Daddy at home is always special.
Not only did we have a great weekend together, both Dave and Matt were going to be out of town so I got to stay the week and hang out with Heather and Kai! I was so blessed......he is such a character and so much fun.

Saying goodbye is never easy....but I am so thankful for the memories!!!

A Thankful Heart for all of These

Here in Canada we are celebrating our Thanksgiving this weekend and today I thought it would appropriate to just share some pictures of these little munchkins that I am so very, very thankful for! This first picture was taken when my nephew and his family joined us so had to include his two little sweethearts in this post too!

We are so blessed! Thank you Lord!

Looking back.......Girl fun!

Although we had planned a trip to the beach for our first morning altogether, the weather didn't cooperate and Caily wasn't feeling good, so we spent some quiet time together with mostly just us girls. Auntie Heather and Caily had fun playing with Play Doh.
Together they made a dog....the green feet were Caily's contribution! Next it was time to paint some toenails....
Caily was so excited about having her toenails and her Mommy's matching! What a little lady!
It was cute to watch Caily remember toys and things that she played with at Christmas when they were up.
I cherished the time just watching two sisters getting to know one another's children......so even though we didn't get to go the beach, we still had girl fun!

Looking back......special visitors!

Back when my computer was ailing we also had some very special visitors.....first Kai and his parents arrived.
And then our Texas sweethearts arrived with their Mommy.....Caily was so excited that Tiks had made the trip too!
It was so fun to see Aunties getting to know their nieces and nephews....
Lexi surprised Jody by willingly going to her aunts and uncles right from the first day. Somehow she knew that we were all safe!
Of course Aidan and Jaxon visited daily with their parents too.
We were missing Darin but glad that the rest of us could all be together again...even if only for a week!
Uncle Matt gets right into whatever the cousins are doing, in this case reading!
Of course storytime was a highlight every single day....it's so neat to see another generation of cousins listening to stories!

Looking back ..... to Aidan's Birthday!

One of the perks and blessings of having our grandsons here on our city is that we get to celebrate their birthdays with them in person!
Aidan liked his card with the basketball player and basketball!
I love Aidan's expression in this picture! He was obviously impressed with the hoodie we gave him....
....in Jamie's school colors, red and black, complete with a basketball player! He wants to wear it all the time!
Both Aidan and Jaxon were excited about his second gift....an expansion track set for Thomas the Train!
We got right down to work.....
.....but before we could even finish it, they both had to try it out.
Definitely a hit.....gotta love it!
