As I was writing to a young teen about the fact that my personal relationship with Jesus is what gives meaning in my life I couldn't help but think of the old hymn, Blessed Assurance. The words struck a chord and I just had to go sit down at the piano and play a couple of verses.

Fanny Crosby had it so right when she wrote this song, what an incredible story He has given us! Caily and I enjoyed singing this song together over Christmas so I thought I would share that with you too!

So glad you captured the moment! We sang that beautiful hymn in our Singspiration time yesterday! This is my story - and I'm sticking to it, lol!!
I agree Karin! It's one of my favorite hymns and I love the fact that it is one that Darin and Jody regularly sing with their girls. Was so fun singing it together with her!
So great that Caily can sing this by heart! Reminds me that we can teach our grandchildren some of these wonderful hymns.
How special!! There is something so sweet about little children singing God's praises!! My girls love listening to praise and to sing along and it just melts my heart. Glad you were able to get it on video and be able to sing with your granddaughter, what a special moment:)
