Just Because

I came to work last week and found these beautiful flowers sitting on my desk.

No they weren't from my husband

although he has been known to buy me flowers just because.

They were from my team,

my new team that I have been working with for just one month.

And they were 'just because'...

...just because I was part of the team

and they wanted to say welcome and thank you.

And I was brought to tears

on a rainy, grey Tuesday morning when I would rather have stayed in bed.

They made my day,

my week actually because I took them home

and put them on the kitchen counter where I could see them while I worked.

What a gift...

...just because!
