While we were in Palm Springs, we took a day trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. We drove from the desert floor up to the Valley Station at 2,643 feet...
but we had a long, long way to go up!!
The kids all lined up at the window, and while we went, up, up and away, the floor turned and we got a 360 degree view!
There is only one other tram of it's kind in the swiss alps so this was definitely something to remember!
Colson had fallen asleep on the drive up to the Valley Station so missed most of the tramride...
...but the rest of us marveled as the cars in the parking lot got smaller and smaller.
Bria wasn't at all sure about how this all worked...
especially when we passed by the towers and the entire tram moved a bit extra!
At the top we arrived at the Mountain Stations which was 8516 feet above sea level!!
We could hardly wait to get outside and look around...
...to the desert below.
We were so high up...
...there was even snow at the base of the trees.
We needed to stop for a snack and then we were off to explore the mountain tops!

It's been 37 years since we took the ride up there and I for one did not realize how high up we were. I remember it was cold up there in March. What a neat experience for you all to do together. It's always more fun to see things from the kids' perspective.
