Summer Ice Cream

 "I scream, Ice Cream,

We all scream, Ice Cream."

 I'm not sure when I first learned that little ditty 

but when I think of going for ice cream on a hot summer day

that's often what comes to mind.

And with the record-setting warm temperatures that we have experienced this summer,

we have gone for a lot of ice cream

with both family and friends.

 Deciding is always the hardest part of the outing...

 but Bubblegum and Candy Floss seem to be two of the kids' favorites.

 Birchwood Dairy is our favourite place to go,

partly because it is a family owned business

and it has awesome ice cream,

 but also because there are other fun things to do with the family.

 Jaxon loves animals so no visit is complete without a trip to the Petting Zoo...

 ...he had told me before how soft the calf was

 but the Mama Goat enjoyed the scratches the most.

 And where else can you watch the playground with this beautiful background scenery?

The boys certainly enjoyed their visit!
