On Frozen Pond

Here is the Frozen Pond.....this is where we walk and today it really was a frozen pond! The poor ducks had no place left to swim! There weren't any skate tracks so I guess it isn't as frozen as it looks or the kids would be out there skating as they have in previous cold winters. But today it was just me and my camera(I drove down after coming back from our walk so I could capture just a bit of what we had enjoyed along the way!) How thankful I was again today for a faithful walking partner who keeps me accountable to getting my heart rate up!

Wow! I couldn't believe how much you had posted since I last checked your blog! Thank you for keeping me going, when it comes to walking. If it weren't for the fact that someone is wating to meet me, I woulnd't be setting my alarm these days! I don't understand why it is so difficult to get up in the morning when it feels SO GOOD to walk! Not only the exercise, but the sharing of "life" is good for my soul!
I can't help but share a quote I found recently, "Oh the comfort, the inexplainable comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away." (George Eliot)
Thank you for the chaff you've blown away...
