Saying Goodbye is hard to do....

I am sitting in the Denver Airport waiting for my flight to Vancouver and reflecting on what an awesome week it was.....spending every single hour of every single day for an entire week in the same house with my sweet Caily girl was amazing and watching my own baby girl parent her baby girl was a blessing. (You are an awesome Mom Jods!) This picture will stick in my memory for a very long time. Thanks Jody and Darin for letting me spend the week with you.....it was truly a blessing indeed!
Traffic was at a standstill for a while on our way to the Airport so there wasn't time for long goodbyes. That too was a blessing since I quickly jumped out of the truck, gave Darin a hug and then Jody helped me get to Check In counter and then it was straight thru Security. This is how I left Caily...also a blessing. Saying goodbye to those beautiful blue eyes would have been much too hard to do...
Oh dear....the tears just spilled out and ran down my nose.....
Jody and I managed to finish painting Caily's room which turned out great! It is all cleaned out, boxes are unpacked and clothes put away in the closet.....next comes furniture and then it will be time for Caily to move in. What a beautiful sunny corner room! Even if the sheep do wake you up in the morning while they are grazing outside of the four open windows!(I thought I was dreaming, but no! There they were....what a cute sight!)
And the best thing about saying goodbye? In just a little over two months Jody and Caily will arrive for a two week visit in time for Christmas! I will turn around twice and it will be here....Yippee!

Wow, Doris, I got back on to look at Caily again and saw that you had posted more pictures. They are just precious. I'm so happy to got to go down there and help clean out the room and help paint and help spoil Caily. She looks so happy and so does her mom and dad. Hope you have a safe trip home and get settled in alright...and it sounds like you all are getting set for a wonderful Christmas! Love you all!

Finally there are posts! I've missed my walking friend! I got emotional when you mentioned the blessing of a quick goodbye. How well I can relate to those airport goodbyes ... one of the costs of having kids and grandchildren far away. It hurts...that's all I can say, with tears running down my face.
