I was excited to be back in Turkey and to have Dave with me this time. The city of Kusadasi was our port of entry on the Aegean Sea.
This Genoese Fort is connected to the harbor by a causeway and surrounded by a Public Beach.
Notice the large 'Caravansay' built in 1613 by a Turkish governor and designed as a haven for passing merchants and their camels, which has now been renovated as a luxury hotel.(looks like a castle in the middle of the picture below)

We had lunch at another luxury hotel in the city. The scenery was amazing!!
I was wishing that we had another day here so I could have spent some time swimming in this cove. But alas, that would have to be put on my 'Bucket List' for another trip.
Instead we had chosen to take a tour to the ancient city of Ephesus....more about that tomorrow.
