BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Blessed by Neighbours

I have a beautiful bouquet of roses sitting on my kitchen table compliments of one of our neighbours(and yes, that's how we Canadians spell the word 'neighbour' :-)
I appreciate them even more so because when we lived in our house, we had lots of roses and I always enjoyed cutting them to bring them inside. Although we have lived here for a year and a half, we hadn't done anything with the landscaping outside so don't have any flowers to cut.

But these past couple of weeks that all changed, thanks to some more awesome neighbours!

Before we could do anything, the old overgrown plants and bushes needed to be pulled out.
Unfortunately I don't have before pictures because I was totally surprised by two women from the complex who knocked at the door one day and asked if we needed some help to trim back the overgrowth so we could walk through our side yard to get to the back patio.

They were amazing and got right to work!
They also told me that there were two men in the complex who would be more than willing to help us build up some flower beds and put an actual walk through.
As Dave and I talked about it that night, we agreed that we had nothing to lose
and a whole lot to gain!!
We would pay for the material,
and they would do all the work!
And work they did! Saturday morning they arrived bright and early and ready to start.
First they had to attach chains to the plants and stumps and then pull them out with a four wheel drive truck! By the end of the day everything old was gone, except for a brace clematis that had survived! :-)
Monday they were back building the new.

I wish you could have seen what it looked like before,
much like the jungle or forest that our grandchildren pretended it was.
 But no more!

The old is gone,
the new is here. It's wonderful.
And we are so blessed by our neighbours.

We are delighted and ready to plant some flowers including a brand new rose bush.
Stay tuned for more pictures.

What a change and how nice to have neighbors like that! Now I understand your need for new plants. I love the yellow rose bouquet. Just beautiful! Glad you will plant a rose bush. Yours always looked amazing in the house.
