We were excited to explore the top of the world....otherwise known as the Mount San Jacinto State Park.
It was a long way down and the kids led the way...
but of course it took me longer because I was busy taking pictures along the way!
The pine cones were huge!
There were big rocks to climb...
...tree trunks to explore
huge trees to try to hug...
Beauty all around us...
and snow to play in!
Caily was so excited she actually hugged the snow! :-)
To be honest, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face...
to watch my children and grandchildren enjoying nature together...
cousins who only see each other once every couple of years enjoying exploring together...
God's amazing creation was their playground
and they were enjoying every minute of it...
It just doesn't get any better than that...
but too soon it was time to head back
and climb back up to the top of the mountain...
so we could catch the tram to the valley below.
After all, the pool was waiting!
