We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

A Peek at the Inside

I know there are people waiting to get a peek
at the inside of this Texas house that we are working on these days
so here it is.
There is lots left to do but you can see that each room has a special touch.
I love the barn board used to make a 'headboard' in the master bedroom.
And the fireplace is something else,
reaching all the way to the ceiling.
The ceiling is made of recycled tin
with 100 year old wood beams
that run from one side of the house to the other.
Looking from the fireplace wall in the opposite direction
you get a great view of the loft...
which as you can see is an awesome place for the kids to play.
On this day they decided to make a 'magformer' piece of art along the railing!
You never quite what you are going to see when you look up in that direction
which makes it all the more fun.
And those kitchen counters that the men were working on?
They are absolutely beautiful!!
Eventually the plan is to whitewash this wall,
but for now I like it just the way it is!

So nice to see this "peek" into Jody's house. Wow! This is truly a custom built home with so many unique things to appreciate. A lot of work has gone into it over the past year and I'm so glad they are in and loving it. God bless this home!
