A Snowy Wonderland

When we woke up Monday morning at Heather and Matt's, it was a winter wonderland outside! It had snowed during the night and the world was white. It was a beautiful sunny morning and we just had to capture it.

Their backyard looks like a park!

Once on the road home we found ourselves sitting in a very long line-up behind a transport that had overturned ahead of us. A highways truck came by and told us that if we wanted to make a U-Turn there was an alternate route around the accident scene along a road less travelled by. We decided we had nothing to lose and time to gain so off we went on an adventure.

We could see the highway and all the vehicles sitting in line as we were driving(Dave would always rather be moving than standing still, something we often laugh about when he chooses alternate ways to get home when we are faced with traffic standing still leaving the office).

When we got back to the Highway we looked back at the traffic still sitting waiting to get thru from the other direction! We were very thankful that we had decided to take the detour! I think there is a lesson to be learned from this but for this day we just enjoyed the journey, detour and all!
