Their No. 1 Grandson

 When Jamie was born, he was the first grandchild on both sides of our family. From the start, my mother has called him her 'No. 1 Grandson' and even today when they arrive at our house, she will ask him how her No. 1 Grandson is doing.....it's kind of fun! :-) So when Jamie told us about his school track meet that was happening, we all agreed that it would be fun to check it out.

 Jaxon was especially excited that he got to go see his Daddy and his track meet.

 As the Athletic Director of his Middle School, Jamie is in charge of both organizing the Track Meet and then keeping it running by making the announcements of the various events. It was his voice we heard coming over the loudspeakers. What fun to watch him action, on his turf at it were. :-)

 My parents were so proud! They enjoyed watching the events but even more so they were thrilled to be watching Jamie and seeing him at work. My father had been a runner and high jumper in his day so he especially enjoyed watching the various events.

Watching my parents and seeing how proud they were of Jamie made me think about our Heavenly Father. Jamie is doing what he was created to do, and what he loves to do! And he does it well.

In the same way, each of us have been gifted and created to fulfill a specific purpose.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.(Ephesians 2:10)
