BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Who Has Seen the Wind Blow?

As we drove up the Coachella Valley in Southern California we saw miles of wind turbines ahead of us.
What we didn't know is that the valley's northwest entrance along Interstate 10 is known as the San Gorgonio Pass and is the second windiest place in the country!!! Thousands of huge wind turbines spread across the desert and hills on either side of the highway and greeted us as we approached the crest of the pass.
It's amazing that something that we cannot see could be harvested to produce power. We couldn't see the wind blow, but we could see the arms moving.
As we drove we talked about how it's the same way with God's Holy Spirit. Although we can't see Him, He can give us incredible unlimited power.
Just like the heads of the turbines need to be turned the right direction to catch the wind, so we need to be headed the right direction to experience God's power at work in us.
Isolated turbines weren't turned the right direction and weren't moving at all. When we don't allow God to have control of our lives we don't allow the power of the Holy Spirit to be at work in our lives and we stand still instead of moving forward.
But if we allow God's wind to blow in our lives, and then align ourselves with others who are doing the same thing, we can produce incredible change!
We may not see the wind blow, but when harnessed there is incredible power. In the same way, I want my life to reflect that invisible power of God at work in me!

How about you?
