BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

When God Seems Silent

Do you ever feel like God isn't listening?
Or maybe if He is, it's sort of like looking through this window in the rain?

Are you ever overwhelmed by the needs of those around you?
So many people fighting cancer, young and old....
people waiting for children they cannot conceive,
sitting by the bed of babies they cannot take home,
grieving loved ones gone too soon.

Are you waiting on God to show you what next?
But all He seems to be saying is, 'Wait'....
Be Still.....
Carry On?

Twice in the last 24 hours I've come across verses that have encouraged me on my journey.

I especially loved how Lynn Mosher put it in her Devotional,

Peter tells us our prayers “have not gone unnoticed by God” (Acts 10:4b, TLB)
“For the Lord is watching His children, listening to their prayers.” (1 Peter 3:12, TLB)

Our prayers are answered.

All prayers are answered: either with a yes, not now, or no.

Then, why don’t we see the answer? Sometimes it’s because we are not on the same timetable as God. We receive our answers on HST — Heavenly Standard Time.

Our prayers are answered at just the right time.

The writer of Ecclesiastes said, “There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth.” (Eccl. 3:1 Msg)

God says, “I am God. At the right time I’ll make it happen.” (Is. 60:22 Msg)

Even when God seems silent,
He is still listening,
still hearing,
still working in our lives and the lives of those we love...
...and at the right time, He will indeed make it happen.

Thanks for this encouraging message! HST....love that! Waiting is never easy, but knowing we can trust our Heavenly Father is a great comfort.
