BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Music in the hands of the Master

Last week I had took some time to just browse through some of the blogs that are linked to our girls' blogs and came across this amazing post by Darin's brother Daniel. He bought a hundred year old violin for his wife who had wanted one for a while already. It was old, broken, hadn't been played for a very long time.

But Daniel knew it's potential even though he hadn't been able to play it or hear what it would sound like. He posted pictures of the process and then a video of him playing a song on that old violin. I had to play the clip over and over again it was so neat. It made me stop and think....how very like us that violin was.

Sometimes we feel like we are old, and can no longer produce beautiful music. Perhaps as we age we dwell in the 'what was' and 'what might have been' and not in the 'what is' and 'what still can be'. But in the hands of the Master, our scars are healed, our life is renewed and our joy restored.....and then we too can make music in the hands of the Master.

There is a beautiful poem with that exact theme! Think I'll put it on my blog. Thanks for the idea!
