1. Low in the grave He lay—
      Jesus my Savior!
    Waiting the coming day—
      Jesus my Lord!
    • Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
      He arose! He arose!
        Hallelujah! Christ arose!
  2. Vainly they watch His bed—
      Jesus, my Savior!
    Vainly they seal the dead—
      Jesus my Lord!
  3. Death cannot keep his prey—
      Jesus, my Savior!
    He tore the bars away—
      Jesus my Lord!

This well known song that we often sing on Easter Sunday always brings back memories of my youth. Our Youth Group used to gather before sunrise on Easter Sunday to sing for the Seniors in our congregation.

They would leave their doors unlocked and we would drive from house to house and quietly sneak into their houses. The first song we sang was always this one! It was an amazing proclamation of what the day was all about. They would sometimes get up and thank us, and other times they would have just left some sweet cakes or cookies out for us to take as we drove to the next house.

What an amazing way to celebrate and proclaim what Easter was all about. He didn't stay on the cross that we celebrate on Good Friday.

And He didn't stay in the grave either! He arose! And so today we celebrate that He lives so that we can live. What an amazing message we proclaim today. If you haven't had a chance to view this video yet this weekend, why don't you take 4 minutes to watch these powerful visual images that demonstrate God’s love.
