Tidal Pools

One of the things we enjoyed while visiting Point-no-Point was exploring the tidal pools on the beaches.

At first it was mostly me climbing around the rocks, but eventually Dave got his 'sea legs' too.

We were amazed by the 'beds' of shells....

Some of the rocks were totally covered by them.

The pools were full of all kinds of life.

We marveled at how everything survived low tide, even the sea urchins.

This starfish won the prize for the most arms!!! It was huge!!!

I kept thinking about how much our grandchildren would have enjoyed these adventures.

 But alas, they weren't here so pictures would have to do!

We were surprised by the size and colour of the Sea Urchins.

All in all, it was a very good get-away!!
