We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Home

I have been thinking a lot about home this past week,
It's been a year since we moved out of our house
and into this place.

Hard to believe how fast the year has flown by,
how many things has found a new place
and how many still didn't make it out of the boxes!
(How is that since I thought we purged everything we didn't use anymore?)

And then last night in my daily Bible Reading I read this verse:
"for this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to our home to come."
 ( Hebrews 13:14)

We love our 'new' home here on earth,
and we are so thankful for God's faithful provision for us here.
But there is so much more to life.

It's been six years since our precious granddaughters were born to heaven.

Life here on earth is so short,
and for some in our lives it seems snuffed out too soon.
(read Dave's cousin's son, Connor)
Some are struggling with cancer
(like our friend's son Mike)
And others are waiting for heaven any day now
(another friend)

Lord help me to accept each day as a precious gift from you while setting my heart on heaven!

Looks like we were kind of on the same page. Each day is a gift and sometimes we become more aware of it because of hard things.
