BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

My Little Biologist

I love the fact that each of our grandchildren is different, with their own interests and talents and abilities.  One is an artist and draws the most amazing pictures. Another one loves history and geography, having memorized almost all the flags of the world.
As for Jaxon, well he loves being outside, climbing and exploring, looking for adventure in the woods!
He notices rocks, pine cones, sticks and stones.
As we walked along the path, we noticed three different kinds of moss...
which he not only touched but also took off pieces to take along,
so that we could show him Mommy when she came to pick him up.

He found a moss-covered stick which made a perfect sword...

...and giant mushrooms growing on old trunks and in the underbrush.

But the biggest find of all was a giant piece of moss that he could make into a 'bird-nest' to hold a very special rock that just had to come home!!

As we walked back to our house, his smile told the whole story as he said,
"These are the very best special things ever!"

I love my little biologist who without a shadow of a doubt has some of his Mimi in him.
I'm sure we will be doing lots of tramping through the woods together in the years ahead!

A very observant little guy! Wonderful that he enjoys being outside
and that you like it, too! He will remember these adventures with you!

I can relate to that love for moss too! Have always been intrigued with that fine, soft stuff. Sounds like such a fun nature walk!
