BECK BULLETIN

We are on a journey, sojourners on this earth. Let us share with you the highs and lows of our lives. Heaven is a sweeter place now that we have two beautiful granddaughters waiting there for us.

Christmas Across the Miles

While other people are posting pictures of family gathered altogether around the tree,
our Christmas looks very different.
With our family spread literally across the North American continent,
Christmas Eve is celebrated vicariously through pictures and videos.
How this grandmother's heart longs to have her family altogether in one place,
but alas it's not to be.
And so Christmas is celebrated in parts....
part one is in Abbotsford,
first with my parents who flew in early from Calgary...
I'm so thankful that they are still healthy enough to travel in their 80's,
and able to enjoy their grandchildren and make wonderful memories with them.
Christmas Eve was celebrated with Jamie and Megan and their boys,
along with Megan's family who were visiting from Michigan.
Early on Christmas morning we headed to the airport to fly up north...
Where our northerners were waiting for us to open gifts,
eat Turkey Dinner,
and enjoy lots and lots of snuggles.

So although Christmas looks different for our family,
my heart is still full.

I can relate with both - the distance felt during these special times as well as a heart full of thanks for three beautiful families who'd love to be together. I can see you looking at those far away grand photos over and over .. and enjoying the snuggles where you are. So cute!
